The saying "it takes a village" couldn't be more true when it comes to raising our children and encouraging their successes while in school.  I am a true believer as parents we must work as a team with our children's teachers and school administrators to ensure they are receiving the best education possible...

Over the summer my family and I were very fortunate to be able to take a week long vacation to the US Virgin Islands.  It was awesome -- crystal clear water, great snorkeling and some great restaurants.  However, when the last day of our vacation arrived, I found I was just as excited to get home as I was to take this trip.  Okay, maybe it had a little something to do with the fact that school was getting ready to start two days later.
